This exciting role will be responsible for providing inspirational leadership and management to our Store Managers and Counter Managers, supporting them to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve operational excellence. You will take ownership of both our direct stores and partner retail accounts to identify future business needs within these channels.

You will have strong commercial awareness and experience of delivering a retail strategy to ensure that we are able to maximise all strategic opportunities at store level.

This position will involve a significant amount of travel and a flexible approach to working hours is required.

Job description

Main responsibilities:

  1. Monitor the service standards achieved in all Liz Earle retail stores, partner retail accounts and treatment rooms.
  2. Frequently visit our Liz Earle stores and department stores to monitor marketing activity, customer service, people management and key performance measures.
  3. Monitor store visits through reports, to use as a performance reporting tool for colleagues.
  4. Inspire and support your teams, providing them with coaching and guidance at every given opportunity, encouraging optimum performance and ongoing development.
  5. Work closely with the People and Development team to recruit and develop your store teams.
  6. Understand the key financial performance indicators and monitor performance of your stores against these, feeding back key information through management reports.
  7. Use the relevant business reports to identify product performance exceptions and develop recovery plans with the Retail Account Executive and Visual Merchandising Manager to address sales deficits.
  8. Build close relationships with the retail marketing team to ensure retail opportunities are identified and support is offered to deliver marketing initiatives.
  9. Present to department store management – maximise store support sharing Liz Earle promotional calender to secure sites and window opportunities.
  10. Build strong relationships with the management teams in our third party retailers to maximise store support.
  11. Have an active involvement with the launch of new stores, taking responsibility for recruitment, liaising with the People and Development team.

Experience and skills

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills:

  • Previous retail management experience gained within a field based role.
  • Comprehensive range of managerial and people skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Superb interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong computer literacy, with experience of the Microsoft Office packages.
